E-mail Etiquette

This afternoon I did an DLO on how to write an etiquette e-mail. I have put up tips on how to write and etiquette e-mail. My partner for this was Savelina. We sent a e-mail to each other on what our favourite part of the week was. And mine was actually netball practice on Monday last week because we all worked hard to win our first game and we did. Next time you want to write an etiquette e-mail remember to use these 5 points. Remember what goes on the internet stays on the internet.   

Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice

Yesterday I completed a google slide about the winter solstice. I did this with Mishaan but she was away most of the days I did this. While Mishaan was away Magenta helped me to finish my animation. We have put in facts about the winter solstice and summer solstice. We have done this to the best of ability. This piece of art will take you on an journey to out of space without even noticing you are! So sit back relax and enjoy the magic.

St. Lucia's Day

This afternoon I did St. Lucia's day about what people do in Scandinavia. This is what Mishaan and I did during the middle and last block of school. We have made this to the best of our ability. This is our DLO on how Scandinavian people celebrate . This is what we got up to.

Matariki The Maori New Year

  

This afternoon Mishaan and I were working on this DLO about Matariki. We have put in what there names are, who they visit and why they visit that person. We have made this to the best of our ability.  I have enjoyed making this DLO because we did not get any help on the information. My favourite part was doing how many sisters there are. Why? Because I already knew what the sisters name were. This is our learning in our own words. 

GO ALL BLACKS!

Today was black out day to support the All Blacks for there game tomorrow. Our whole school sang a song called Tutira Mai to and the boys in the kapa haka did an amazing haka. We wish the All Blacks all the best for there game against the lions. We also did some awesome activities like spell All Blacks with the whole school and we did a game where we passed the ball around the court while Mr Wong was videoing from above with our school drone. But we are not finish there my friend oh no, after we finished passing the ball we took a photo behind our new school poster to top it all off. If I had to rate my day today it would be a 10. Why? Because we had technology this morning, we have new water storers for our garden and our videos are going to be sent to the All Blacks. The winner will be rewarded with the All Blacks coming to our school! How cool would that be? I had an amazing and I hope for this day to come back around. GO ALL BLACKS!

Intro To DigiTech

Today at tech we did something called healthy living at the tamaki community. My poster I guess well call it has a variety of things that we could do to be healthy as a community.  I have made this to the best of my ability to share right here on my blog. here are some tips and tricks you could do to lead your way to a better life style.

Dance Evaluation Movie Dance Group B

This morning Savelina, Sky, Jorja and I were finishing off our dance evaluation movie. Our dance has a lot of moves including shapes like triangles, squares and much much more. We are really proud of how our dance came out. Something that we would have to work on is making the shapes a little bit more sharp and always face the audience. This is how our dance came out.

How Long Things Take To Biodegrade?

 Today Viva and I were looking at charts. We chose to do how long things take to biodegrade. This graph shows how long things take to biodegrade. Glass bottles take longer to biodegrade because it never does. I found so many facts about how things biodegrade and I wanted to share them with you.

What Is Soft Plastic?

This afternoon I was learning about soft plastic. Mrs Caroline ( one of our first aid teachers) was teaching LS2 about soft plastics and what that is. I created this DLO about what soft plastic and facts you may or may not know about soft plastics. For example if I had a piece of glad wrap I would be able to scrunch it into a ball. That is considered as soft plastic. If I had a biscuit tray and I tried to scrunch it into a ball it will be a lot harder to scrunch up. This is my finished work. I really enjoyed doing this, have fun reading!

El cadejo Read Theory

For reading I did Read Theory. I was reading a legend called the El cadejo. This legend is about a wolfs that can be black or white. The white El cadejo is a good wolf that can help travellers find there way and give good luck. But the black El cadejo hunts other animals and even people. I really enjoyed reading this story becaus eit sent chills up my spine as I continued reading. You should try this amazing website because you might just learn something new.

Dance With Savelina And Brooklyn!

This morning I did dance with group B. Savelina, Brooklyn and I worked together as a team to put together a master piece. We have used different shapes from triangles, squares and more. We need to work on making or moves look sharp and on point. I think that we have co-operated well while making this video. We are working on being in time with the beat and trying different  movements to make our dance go even longer. This is our way of success. 

Ways We Can Reduce Food Waste?

Yesterday for inquiry I started a DLO on how we can reduce food waste?. In my work of art you will find out what you can do to reduce the ways you use your food at home and at school. This DLO is written in my own words, my own pictures that I have attributed and more. I have made this to the best of my ability. This was a really challenging piece of work to do by myself but I tracked through it and got it finish. Have a look though this DLO and you might just find out something new.

Puzzling Maths With Mishaan

This morning Mishaan and I were working on our maths DLO. We have given in our own words how we came up with the answers and what maths equation we were working on. We have done this to the best of our ability. We have done two maths problems in one maths DLO. This is what we got up to.

Samoan tatau VS Modern tattooing!

Today Mishaan and I completed a DLO about Samoan Tatau VS Modern tattooing. In our DLO you will see the difference between modern tattooing and Tatau. What is Tatau you ask? Well Tatau is the Samoan way of tattooing. We have done this to the best of our ability. We chose to do Samoan Tatau because this week is Samoan Language week this week. Samoan people use different methods to us and different tools. Here is what our finished DLO looks like.
